Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 2026-06-11
Effective date: [EFFECTIVE DATE TO CONFIRM]
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") is part of the Multiplayer Rally Terms of Service and applies to everyone who uses the Multiplayer Rally service, operated by NexGen UX & Engineering LLC. It is written in plain language on purpose: it tells you what you may not do with our relay and your servers, and it also tells you what we promise about the software we put on your PC. Violating this AUP is a breach of the Terms of Service.
1. The relay is for your game traffic
Our relay network exists to connect players to the game servers you run. That is its only permitted use. You may not:
- Relay any non-game traffic through your tunnels, including using tunnels as a general-purpose VPN or proxy, for bulk file distribution, for scraping or botnet traffic, or for crypto-mining pool connectivity, or running Tor exit traffic through them.
- Resell, rent, or share tunnel capacity to third parties as a service.
- Send email through tunnels. SMTP on port 25 is blocked at our relay unconditionally.
- Use the relay for port scanning, attack traffic, denial-of-service participation, or DDoS reflection or amplification.
- Circumvent plan limits, including by creating multiple accounts to stack free-tier caps, manipulating usage metering, or evading bandwidth or tunnel limits.
How we check, stated honestly: our abuse detection looks at packet headers and connection patterns only (protocol fingerprinting and bandwidth-anomaly detection). We do not inspect, log, or store the contents of your game traffic; our relay reads only the packet and connection metadata needed to route traffic, count bytes for billing, and stop abuse.
2. Your server, your responsibility, our floor
What happens on your server is your responsibility, and there is a floor that applies to everyone. You may not use the service to host, distribute, or operate:
- Illegal content of any kind. Zero tolerance. Child sexual abuse material is reported to NCMEC and law enforcement and results in immediate termination.
- Piracy distribution, including distributing copyrighted game files, cracked software, or other infringing material through tunnels or backups.
- Servers that impersonate official publisher servers or pretend to be operated by a game publisher.
- Harassment or doxxing infrastructure, or any server whose purpose is to target, threaten, or expose private information about individuals.
- Cheating-service infrastructure that targets other people's servers or games (for example, hosting cheat distribution or attack tooling).
[TO CONFIRM, founder decision per plan section 2.2: whether this AUP explicitly prohibits offline-mode (cracked-client) Minecraft servers or remains silent. Product behavior either way: recipes default to online-mode and we do not document or feature offline-mode setups.]
3. Game publisher rules apply to you
Each game's server software is governed by its publisher's own license terms, which you accept directly when you set up a server (for example, the Minecraft EULA: the setup flow shows it with a checkbox that is never pre-checked, your acceptance is recorded with a timestamp, and the agent refuses to install without it). You must comply with those terms, including any rules about server monetization. We may restrict or remove a game from our catalog when a publisher requires it.
4. What we promise about the agent on your PC
This policy runs both ways. The Multiplayer Rally agent runs on your machine, so here is what it will and will not do:
- The agent installs only the game servers you pick, from publisher or official sources, listed transparently in the install flow.
- Install recipes are declarative data, not scripts: they cannot execute arbitrary code on your machine.
- The agent opens no inbound ports on your machine. Connectivity is outbound-only through the tunnel.
- We never use your machine for anything except your servers: no relaying other people's traffic through your PC, no borrowing your compute, ever.
- Uninstalling the agent removes everything except your world files, which are left in place on your disk and remain yours.
5. Enforcement
We enforce this AUP with a graduated ladder. Each step names the specific tunnel and behavior involved, and every action is logged so appeals have a record.
- Warn. First soft violation: we email you and show a dashboard notice naming the tunnel and the behavior, with 72 hours to respond. The warning clears automatically if the behavior stops.
- Throttle. If the behavior continues after a warning, or repeats within 30 days, the tunnel is rate-limited. Lifted when you contact support with an explanation.
- Suspend the tunnel. Continued violations or clear non-game relay use: the tunnel is disabled. Other servers on your account are unaffected. You may appeal via support; one reinstatement maximum.
- Suspend the account. Multiple suspended tunnels, ban evasion, or fraud overlap: account access is frozen and subscriptions are cancelled with a prorated refund. Written appeal to abuse@multiplayerrally.com.
Immediate termination, skipping the ladder, applies to: child sexual abuse material (reported to NCMEC and law enforcement), DDoS participation or attack traffic, mail spam, a binding law-enforcement order, and payment fraud. No refund is given in fraud cases. Reversal in this class is through legal process only.
6. Reporting abuse
To report a server or tunnel that violates this policy, email abuse@multiplayerrally.com. We review severe reports within 24 hours. For security vulnerabilities, use security@multiplayerrally.com.
7. Changes
We may update this AUP as the service and the abuse landscape evolve. Material changes are announced the same way as changes to the Terms of Service: at least 30 days advance notice by email and in the dashboard.
